It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (Sort Of...) Pt. 1

 Random candy cane decoration.  Shiny.

"Wuv...  Twu wuv..."  -The Princess Bride

For those of you who have yet to meet her, this is my dragon Star.

And this is her younger cousin, Flame.

They make good models, mainly because they don't move.  (cough-Matthew-cough)

I really liked the different colors and textures here.

 Christmas lights!

It took a bit of work to get the camera in just the right place for this effect.

This one was also interesting to get right.  The focus on my camera wasn't being very cooperative.  I gave it some new batteries and it straightened out.

Despite the gorgeous colors, I find it very wrong that the trees still have leaves in December.

This is up by Demoss.  It seemed to be the only wreath on the entire campus that didn't have the sun directly behind it at that particular moment.

 More Christmas lights.

 And still more lights.  :)

What Christmas would be complete without Charlie Brown?

Good ol' M27.

England Trip Pt. 2 (Oxford)

We spent the last two days of our trip in Oxford.

It's definitely a gorgeous place.  Tons of sweeet architecture.

 And more.

There were also lots of locations where scenes from the Harry Potter movies were filmed, like the hospital wing and the Hogwarts library.  We got to see the place where Moody turns Draco into a ferret in HP 4.  :)

After all the HP talk, I found this amusing.

Unfortunately, aside from the HP sights, there's not much else to do in Oxford.  Except study.

One of the many colleges at Oxford.

Inside an old chapel with our tour guide.

EunBi and her camera.  And some cool ceiling work.

This was in a market in Oxford.  The signs crack me up.  :)

Our last afternoon was free, so Beth and I went to a natural history museum.  Pretty cool place.

Not sure why I like this picture, but I do.

Moi.  And a pony.  Sadly, I was told I couldn't keep it.

So I was trying to take a picture of the T-rex head, but the glass was at a weird angle so I got a really weird reflection.  But I like it.  The T-rex looks like something out of Primeval.

My partner in crime, Beth, and her friend, Mr. Cheetah.  Thankfully by that point she had gotten over being sick and was no longer trying to convince herself that she was a dinosaur.

England Trip Pt. 1 (London)

Home of the famous Sherlock Holmes.  :)  Actually there was a museum just across the street.  Too bad we didn't have time to go in.  We were too busy looking for food.  Nine starving teeagers are not a good thing.

Marcel being, well, Marcel.

Star and some awesome scenery when it finally stopped raining.

 Awesome place, London.  :)

Trick shot.

Can't remember what that thing is called...   But the line was long and the tickets were pricey, so we took pictures of it instead of from it.

 I win, Ms. Tymczak.

 And again.

This cracked me up.  Almost all of the streets in the city have arrows telling you which way to look because the Britts all drive on the wrong side of the road.

 Trafalgar Square.

Joelle, Jess, and Marianna looking pretty.

Ms. Tymczak, Simon, Mr. Glenn, and Marcel.  She said she wasn't going to get up there.  Obviously we won that battle.

Me, EunBi, and Beth.  Apparently Caroline was the only one who didn't get up on the lion.  Not sure how we let her get away with that...

A street with lots of British flags.  And rain.  Lots of rain.  Very British, that.

Just before the changing of the guard.  Which, by the way, is highly over-rated.

"Look!  It's a Korean!"  :D  We love you, EunBi!

Another very British thing that was slightly funny.

Ms. Tymczak, Marcel, Beth, EunBi, and Caroline on the metro.  We tried playing tag.  It didn't go too well.  Mostly because every time we tried we were all pressed up against each other...

Beth and Jess with the royal couple.

The inside of the new Globe Theatre.  Cool stuff.  And we had a Scottish who was absolutely hilarious and did a sweet workshop with us.  Shakespeare was cooler than I thought.  And I got a cool Macbeth shirt.  Definitely a win.

A very cool looking bridge.  Actually this is just one bridge down from the one that the Death Eaters destroy in HP 6.  Or as Beth put it, "the bridge that goes wacko."  Her way with words always astounds me.  :)
